Alesha Minott is Atmosphere's 8th Grade Science Teacher. Ms. Minott has a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She graduated from Spelman College in Atlanta Georgia. Her love for education started when she was in college. She was a STEM tutor for a program called HBCU rising. The goal of the program was to raise test scores of children in low income communities and be a postive light/mentor for these children. During her experience as a tutor she saw the classroom and teachers in another light. She saw teaching as something she could add value to and become apart of. She taught biology at Excellence Boys Charter in Brooklyn, NY for a few years. Teaching at that school allowed her to not only spread knowledge but build unbreakable bonds with students, families and coworkers. She wants to continue being this light unto the path of students and others.
