Valerie Silverberg

Special Education Teacher

Valerie Silverberg is Atmosphere’s 6th Grade Special Education Teacher. Valerie’s roots trace back to Harlem, New York, a place close to her heart, given her family’s journey from South Carolina during the Great Migration era. With over a decade of educational experience, she’s held various roles, including Program Supervisor for an afterschool instructional intervention program and teaching across different grade levels, from unique education settings to middle school ELA and high school mathematics. Valerie holds a degree in Secondary Education – Mathematics and advanced degrees in K-12 Special Education, Special Education – Curriculum and Instruction, and School District Leadership. She’s also an alumna of Bank Street College and holds Master’s in Education degrees from Concordia University and Mercy University, with ongoing pursuit of a Doctorate of Education in Special Education Leadership from Concordia University.
