Atmosphere Academy inspires students to explore careers through research, field visits, and meetings with professionals. On Career Day, every year working professionals come and speak to students in classrooms to explain the development path and daily life of their job as well as answer questions.
During 8th grade, scholars are invited to explore their preferred careers with real-life professionals. An assembly is held to have scholars select their desired major and attend Career Pathways trips where they go onsite in the professional field to experience the industry firsthand.
Some career pathways include but not limited to:
- Scholars attend Medical Explorations at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and watch a podiatry demonstration by the Director of Podiatry.
- Scholars attend a Business Career Pathways Trip at the New York Stock Exchange and are trained on the terminal by a trader at NYSE.
- Scholars attend a Coding Career Pathways Trip in Harlem and create codes to navigate their created robots.
- Scholars attend an Art/Design Career Pathways at the recently inaugurated South Bronx Art scene.
