Charmaine Gentles

Data Associate

Charmaine Gentles is Atmosphere’s Data Associate, she has a strong commitment to educational equity, research, and advocacy. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Ms. Gentles draws inspiration from her experiences within the NYC public school system, which fueled her passion for addressing opportunity gaps and promoting fairness in education. Her academic and professional background includes in-depth research on the school-to-prison pipeline, restorative justice, affirmative action, admission exam culture, and educational opportunity gaps. Ms. Gentles holds an M.P.A. in Public/Non-Profit Management and Policy from NYU Wagner, with a concentration in Advocacy and Political Action, and a B.A. in Political Science from The City College of New York (CUNY).
