Jose Alonso

Spanish Teacher

Jose Alonso is Atmosphere’s 10th Grade Spanish Teacher. I was born in Cuba, where I earned my degree in Chemical Engineering and began my teaching career. In 1980, I moved to the United States and completed a Master’s degree in Urban Education and Special Needs. I am also a published writer. My passion for traveling with my family and playing soccer keeps me energized. For the past fifteen years, I have been teaching in the Bronx, a community I deeply cherish. My goal as a teacher is to support my students in achieving success both academically and in their lives.
