Spanish Teacher

Jose Alonso is Atmosphere’s 10th Grade Spanish Teacher, bringing a rich background in education and a passion for student success. Born in Cuba, Mr. Alonso earned a degree in Chemical Engineering and began his teaching career there before moving to the United States in 1980, where he completed a Master’s degree in Urban Education and Special Needs. A published writer, he is also energized by his love for traveling with family and playing soccer. With fifteen years of teaching experience in the Bronx—a community he deeply values—Mr. Alonso is committed to supporting his students in achieving both academic and personal success.
