Patrick Miele

Special Education Teacher

Patrick Miele is Atmosphere’s 6th Grade Special Education Teacher. Mr. Miele attended Manhattanville College as a student-athlete (baseball) and earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management in 2004, with minors in History and Spanish. Quickly switching career paths, he began as a substitute paraprofessional in 2007 and later earned two master’s degrees from Mercy College in Special Education and Social Studies. In 2015, he also completed a degree in School-Based Leadership.
With 17 years of teaching experience, Mr. Miele has taught math for grades 5-8, including Algebra 1, at the school he attended as a child in the neighborhood where he was raised. His mantra, passed down from his mentor, emphasizes that consistency, persistence, and resilience are imperative for academic success. He believes that these traits are equally essential for living a fulfilling and joyous life. To truly reach students, Mr. Miele advocates for “talking the talk” and “walking the walk.” He strives to inspire a new generation of great thinkers, innovators, and leaders by directly exemplifying these qualities.
