Valerie O’Brien

Substitute Teacher

Valerie O’ Brien is Atmosphere’s 9th Grade Substitute Teacher. Her philosophy of education is that every learner deserves a dynamic, safe, and student-centered experience in a classroom that expands knowledge, stimulates interests, and encourages social development. For 7 years Valerie taught reading and writing to grades 6-12 in public and charter schools in Indiana. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Columbia College and a Master’s of Science Degree in education with a concentration in English.
