Our Middle School Career Exploration program provides students in grades 6-7 with a unique opportunity to explore a variety of career paths. By using these formative years to discover and refine their interests, students build a solid foundation for becoming career-ready and college-prepared. Scholars will have opportunities to explore careers across a wide range of fields and disciplines, gaining insight into the skills and education required to pursue their future career paths. Lessons and activities emphasize active learning, incorporating methods like role-playing, small group discussions, and scenario analysis.
The lessons are carefully designed to strengthen key career-readiness skills, including critical thinking, behavior analysis, conflict resolution,problem-solving, professionalism, and effective communication skills.
Our 8th-grade Career Exploration course is designed to help students explore a variety of career paths and develop a better understanding of their personal strengths, interests, and skills. Through hands-on activities, projects, and research, students will investigate various professions including those in STEM, Arts, Health Sciences, Business, and Public service.Â
The course will also introduce students to the basics of career planning, goal setting, and decision-making. Students will create personalized career portfolios, explore high school course pathways that align with their career interests, and understand the importance of lifelong learning. Emphasis will be placed on fostering critical thinking, communication, and teamwork preparing students to make informed choices about their future academic and career pursuits.

Career Exploration Days provide a platform for students to interact with professionals from various industries. These interactions can lead to mentorship opportunities, internships, and valuable connections that are beneficial in planning their future career goals.

Freshman Year: Scholars will explore the five career pathways we offer, gaining a clear understanding of the requirements and opportunities within each. The course focuses on professional and personal development, college and career preparedness, and self-discovery, guiding students to uncover their unique strengths, interests, and potential career directions. By the end of the course, scholars will be equipped to make an informed decision about which career path they wish to pursue in greater depth.
Sophomore Year: Expanding upon their chosen career pathway, scholars will deepen their knowledge and gain valuable insights into specialized areas within their field of interest. At the conclusion of this course, scholars will have a comprehensive understanding of the key requirements and competencies needed to succeed in their careers.
Junior and Senior Year: Scholars will participate in internships aligned with their career aspirations, offering a unique opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience. These internships immerse scholars in real-world professional environments and provide valuable opportunities to network with industry leaders and forge meaningful connections with Fortune 500 businesses and organizations.

Our Criminal Justice and Law students participate in internships with the FBI and the Yonkers Police Department. Internships with police departments and the FBI provide immersive experiences that prepare students for careers in law enforcement and related fields, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and professional networks necessary for success.

While interning with the FBI, our interns engage in a range of educational and hands-on activities aimed at introducing them to federal law enforcement, investigative techniques,and national security operations.

The Yonkers Police Department offers our students a distinctive opportunity to intern across various divisions within the force. By participating in real-world law enforcement procedures and training activities, students gain invaluable insights into police operations. These experiences provide a unique perspective on law enforcement careers and underscore the critical role they play in safeguarding citizens and the community.



At the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai's Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences, our Medical students perform internships,allowing them to engage in a variety of research projects under the mentorship of Mount Sinai researchers, gaining interdisciplinary experience in both experimental and computational research. The research encompasses areas such as functional genomics, cancer genomics, gene and cell therapy and drug discovery.This program provides participants with hands-on research experience, mentorship, and professional development opportunities


At Keller Williams Realty, our business interns undertake a diverse array of tasks that immerse them in the real estate industry. This hands-on experience encompasses various aspects of real estate transactions and office operations, significantly contributing to their professional growth in the field.


Van Cortlandt Alliance offers internships to our students interested in Environmental Engineering. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, our students engage in a variety of tasks, including gathering environmental data through fieldwork, as well as assessing environmental conditions through samples of air, water and soil. These internships provide valuable hands-on experience, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world situations and develop skills essential for a career in environmental engineering.

During field trips to JP Morgan Chase, and Warburg Pincus, our students engage in a variety of educational and interactive activities designed to introduce them to the world of Business, Finance and Banking. These visits provide students with exposure to the corporate environment, insights into potential career paths, and an understanding of the skills required in these industries.


While visiting Wilkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, our Law students partake in activities designed to provide exposure to the legal profession and corporate law environment. Such visits are valuable for students interested in law, as it offers insights into legal careers and the skills needed to succeed in a top-tier law firm.
