Operations Associate

Julio Ortiz is Atmosphere’s 11th and 12th Grade Operations Associate, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to community service. Originally from the South Bronx, Mr. Ortiz’s journey was further shaped by his time in Puerto Rico. As the eldest of nine siblings and the first in his family to earn a high school diploma, he set a strong example, later choosing to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps, where he rose to the rank of Sergeant over an eight-year tenure. His dedication to making a difference extends beyond his military service; he has coached youth sports, mentored young people, and worked in supporting homeless individuals in finding stable housing. Now, driven by a passion for guiding youth and positively impacting the community, Mr. Ortiz is proud to serve in the Charter school system and is excited to be part of the Atmosphere family, where he continues to shape the leaders of tomorrow.
