Kathryn Lennon

ELL Teacher

Katie Lennon teaches ENL (English as a New Language, formerly known as ESL) in grades 9-12. Ms. Lennon has a Masters degree in TESOL Education K-12 (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from SUNY New Paltz, and holds two B.A. degrees from SUNY Plattsburgh, in both ELA and Spanish. Ms. Lennon gained two years of teaching experience in the states of Colorado and Indiana before moving back to her home state of NY. She’s been teaching at Atmosphere for almost 4 years, first teaching grades 7-8, and now teaching Atmosphere’s grade 9-12 students. Growing up with grandparents who made great sacrifices to immigrate to this country, Lennon has always felt a passion to help our immigrant community, working to do so through not only teaching the English language to our ELL students, but also giving them the materials and opportunities they need to be successful.
