Melquawn Curry

Special Education Teacher

Melquawn Curry is Atmosphere’s 10th and 11th Grade Special Education Teacher. He earned a master’s degree in Special Education from Hunter College and has worked with the NYCDOE for the past seven years. Mr. Curry is a proud Bronx native with a passion for travel—he’s picked up greetings in over five languages along the way. He is a firm believer in the power of “yet” and believes that educating students can change the world, especially through the knowledge they gain in history class. Mr. Curry’s son, who stands tall just like him at six feet, keeps him grounded and gives his life a strong sense of purpose.
