English Teacher

Dena Samuels is Atmosphere’s Grade 10-11 ELA teacher. Ms. Samuels hails from the beautiful island of Jamaica and holds a Diploma in Teaching from Shortwood Teachers College, a Bachelors of Education in English from the University of the West Indies as well as a Masters in Language Education from the same institution (UWI). As a budding academic whose lifelong goal is dedicated to growth, development and actualization, Ms. Samuels understands and supports the unique and holistic opportunity that Atmosphere provides its scholars. Ms. Samuels is passionate about inculcating a passion for reading , learning and critical thinking in all of her students , so that they will have and hone a repertoire of higher order thinking skills, that they will be able to transfer and apply in a variety of contexts,as they forge on their respective trajections and achieve actualization.
