See the Possibilities
College fairs and campus visits give scholars opportunities to explore the places and pathways they may be considering.
Atmosphere Academy College Program
Atmosphere Academy’s College Program brings together campus exposure, college-level coursework opportunities, and personalized guidance so scholars and families can make informed decisions about what comes next.
Early-college opportunities are available to scholars who meet program requirements.
College Program in practice
The college process asks students to make real decisions: where to apply, how to pay, what courses to take, and what comes after acceptance. Atmosphere helps scholars encounter those questions with experience, information, and individualized support.
College fairs and campus visits give scholars opportunities to explore the places and pathways they may be considering.
A College Admissions Course in grades 11 and 12, together with individualized counseling, helps scholars navigate college exploration, applications, deadlines, and enrollment.
Eligible scholars can pursue college-credit opportunities through CUNY College Now and St. John’s College Advantage.
Scholars and families can receive help with financial aid, including FAFSA assistance, as well as scholarship support and one-on-one application guidance.
Preparation that feels real
College can feel abstract when the process lives in brochures, due dates, and advice from a distance. At Atmosphere, scholars have opportunities to see campuses, ask practical questions, and understand the work that goes into choosing and reaching a next step.
For some scholars, that means a college fair or a campus visit. For others, it means building an application plan, sitting down for individual counseling, or taking an eligible college course while they are still supported by their high-school community. The goal is not to prescribe one destination. It is to help each scholar make a better-informed decision about the path ahead.
Early College
Early-college opportunities can give eligible scholars a chance to earn college credit before high school graduation while gaining experience with the expectations and rhythm of college coursework.
Scholars who meet program requirements can take general courses of study in English, mathematics, science, and humanities through CUNY College Now. Classes meet two evenings each week and run for a full semester.
Participation is based on program requirements. Confirm current eligibility and course availability with Atmosphere.
Qualifying seniors can take a dual-enrollment English course during the school day. The course is taught by Atmosphere instructors in conjunction with St. John’s University curriculum.
Dual-enrollment credit-bearing courses are available in mathematics (statistics) and education/teaching-profession content areas. The courses are taught by Atmosphere instructors in conjunction with St. Thomas Aquinas College curriculum.
Eligibility and course details should be confirmed with Atmosphere before publication each school year.
Admissions and counseling
Atmosphere supports scholars and families throughout college exploration, applications, enrollment, and financial aid. The work is practical: identifying opportunities that match a scholar’s goals and interests, keeping important deadlines in view, and getting help when a decision needs to be made.
College fairs, campus visits, and counseling help scholars begin comparing possibilities.
In grades 11 and 12, the College Admissions Course is built into the school schedule to help scholars navigate the application process.
One-on-one counseling is available for all students. We support applications, scholarships, and financial aid, including FAFSA assistance.
Guidance continues as scholars make enrollment decisions and prepare for life after high school.
College Knowledge Trips
Atmosphere has taken scholars to visit a range of college campuses, including Princeton, Yale, Sacred Heart, UConn, Morgan State, Coppin State, and Virginia State. Each visit gives students a more concrete point of reference as they consider the size, setting, culture, and possibilities of different institutions.
The institutions named here are documented campus-visit destinations. They are not presented as admissions partners or guarantees of admission.

College readiness at Atmosphere Academy is structured as a continuous, four-year developmental arc that begins upon entry in ninth grade. Early intervention focuses on cultivating foundational academic behaviors, self-advocacy, and postsecondary awareness, ensuring that students internalize high expectations early in their high school careers. As students advance through their coursework, this foundational support systematically intensifies, culminating in targeted, high-touch interventions during eleventh and twelfth grade, including individualized counseling, strategic application planning, and comprehensive financial-aid navigation designed to maximize matriculation outcomes.
Family engagement is a cornerstone of our college-access model, grounded in transparent, proactive communication and multi-tiered guidance. We partner directly with families to demystify every phase of postsecondary planning, offering accessible workshops on financial aid, scholarship acquisition, and admissions strategy. By providing individualized counseling sessions, translated resources, and dedicated step-by-step navigation through complex processes like FAFSA completion, we ensure families are fully equipped to make informed, confident decisions alongside their scholars.
The documented College Campus visits and trips include destinations like Princeton, Yale, Sacred Heart, UConn, Morgan State, Coppin State, and Virginia State.
