Conor Hale

9th Grade Leader

Conor Hale is Atmosphere’s 9th-grade Leader. His educational background encompasses Degrees in Humanities and Social Thought (BA 2004 – Louisiana Scholars’ College), Law (JD – University of Georgia 2008), and Teaching – Exceptional Adolescents Grades 7-12 (MS – Fordham University 2014). After practicing as a trial attorney for several years, Conor made a significant career shift in 2013 when he joined Teach for America. This transition brought him and Dr. Hale, a molecular biologist and bioinformatician at Memorial Sloan Kettering, along with their two children, to New York City. Conor is a licensed special educator (Generalist SWD 7-12) and has contributed his expertise to institutions such as the Department of Education’s District 79 Passages Academy, Broome Street Academy (SUNY), and Northside Charter High School (NYSED) before becoming part of the Atmosphere Academy team in the Summer of 2023. In his spare time, he enjoys creating puzzles, singing, and mastering the art of juggling torches and knives.
