Yhinan Izzo

Special Education Teacher

Yhinan Izzo is Atmosphere’s 10th Grade Special Education Teacher. Ms. Izzo is excited to join the Atmosphere team as a member of the History Department & Student learning. While new to Atmosphere, she has been teaching in the neighborhood since 2017. Most recently, she returned from nearly a year in Spain, where she taught English and earned her TEFL certificate. Ms. Izzo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Pre-Law, as well as a Master’s in Education from Hunter College. Outside the classroom, she absolutely LOVES making art, cooking, spending time in nature, staying active (Zumba is life), and solo traveling. This year, she hopes to channel her creativity and passions by starting a cooking club or art club for students.
